I always enjoyed music, listening, writing, and sharing... I have seldom enjoyed music this much. This is a great community effort. A million thanks to Trent, Undergone, Morethanshapes, Leviathant, and of course the remixers for their time and bitchin' REMIXES! Trent is correct, "Mission accomplished."

  Hey Starfuckers....
I feel lucky to be grouped in with such creative people. Between the site developers and the remixers....there's definitely a lot of talent out there!
As far as my mix goes (#410 PRODUKT REMIX)....
I used Garageband v1.1.0 (luckily it worked on there), Reason 2.0, Zoom 234 drum machine, M-Audio Keystation 61es. I kept the structure of the track pretty similar but changed the ingredients....
various swirling sounds, cut up/delayed/effected vocals, tribal drums, various bass drops, etc.
So on that note....
good luck to all....
I've enjoyed hearing everyone's remixes!

  nice looking site, undergone.
thanks for the sister site to the list, i felt kind of awkward for a while just having a big list of songs... with rules and such really only listed in the ETS forums.
this has come together SO nicely. and i'm rather proud of my contribution to it all, as you should too, undergone. as should EVERYONE who's submitted.
can't wait for "only" now. haha.
also, if trent happens upon this: if you're chatting with undergone you best hit me up as well. :-)
you got my email.

#486 FL Studio 5, pc. Kind of rushed because I thought the contest ended so I sort of gave up and then found out it was extended so I had to work on it in the middle of the night. Oh well, I'd regret not submitting anything even more than submitting something halfassed. I really enjoyed this contest and listening to the various remixes because there will be so few winners it implies that the vast majority did it just for the hell of it. Actions are most genuine when there is no economic motive. I'm open for collaborations and such, always interested in learning more and satisfying my intellectual curiosity.

  Hey
Thanks a lot undergone for all of your hard work. In access trent replied to the question of "will you make more of your songs available for remixing" by saying that hes working on it. Thus, hopefully this wont be the last contest.

Trent's garageband file is the greatest thing that anyone has ever done for their fans! Getting to hear 500 remixes makes me feel like I've already won the contest. Great job by everyone.

I'm #382 & 443, and I used an iMac G4 800MHz. Anyone have anything slower?

Thanks for all the hard work on the site Undergone!

Hi from germany. I used Mac, Logic Pro 7 and some antique synthesizers for my remix. It was great fun and I am deeply impressed about this whole project. A big thank you to all webmasters, programmers, designers, remixers, musicians here - and of course Nine Inch Nails. Great job. Mission accomplished? I hope we still are on a mission... :)

This remix contest was a great idea... I have heard some great ideas from fans. I hope other bands will learn from this and do the same.
For my remix (#414 Tubs remix) I used Pro Tools on a Mac. The microphones I used for the drum kit went like this.... AKG D112/kick.. SM 57/snare.. Audix D2 and D4/toms...Neumann KM184/overheads...
I ran all the mic's into some old Telefunken mic pre amps. With all that I only had about 2 hours to edit, play and mix but I had the time of my life....
Thanks Trent... It was great playing drums with you !

Thanks for the site and the competition.

As a professional violinist, i'm not a Nine Inch Nails fan, but I produced my first ever remixes in GarageBand for this competition. The challenge was too interesting to pass up. Some bizarre remixes, some loud, some slick, some great, but I bet all entrants (plus all those playing along at home) had as much fun as I did.

Greetings from Melbourne, Australia (and check out #364 and #425.)

When I listen to these remixes and the official Photek remixes I must admit, that it's time to hand over the Remixing of future Halo's to some of the Remixers of this contest: Amazing stuff that let Photek look like a little breakbeat boy, playing around with overpriced equipment and producing uninteresting bullshit. The single is just horribel... Do you hear us Trent? It's time for a Revolution: Move your ass and bring in some freshness into your remixing policy... just my 2 cents...

great fun.......a good way to meet people and share musical Ideas....I would definetly do another remix project. I used Logic pro 7 to create my mix and found it to be very useful having the files in the apple loops format...PC users....note that if you have a friend who has a Mac and something like tis happens again. Just tell them to ctrl click the session file and it will say "show package" click on that and you have all of the files in aiff form. Cheers

I nearly fell out my chair when I realised what Trent had done - releasing the 'source audio' for his song. Being a bit of a music maker myself I made my remix but sadly I think I may have missed the boat for competition submission.

Still though, its a great thing that has come about and is a testament to Trents musical sincerity.

And well done on the site undergone. =) I'm sure it's in El Rezzo's favourites.
